What is a testing agreement?
A testing agreement, allows instructors to communicate the parameters of their exams to the DAC, including how the DAC should expect to receive the exam, when it should be administered, and how a student can receive clarifications during an exam.
How do I get my exams back?
Instructors notify DAC staff how they would like to receive a completed exam back. If they prefer, instructors may also choose to have the physical copy of the exams held at the DAC Office to be picked up by them or an assistant. DAC will also deliver exams to Scoring Services (OM 230) should a scantron portion be included. Although DAC will continue to deliver exams to Department Offices, we have reduced the number of delivery runs to a minimum of twice daily (about 10:30 am and 3:00 pm). All exams completed after 3:00 pm will be delivered the following business day around 10:30 am.
What do I do if the student needs to make-up an exam?
Students may take make-up exams with DAC with instructor approval of the date and time.
If the make-up exam is to be taken while the student is still enrolled in the class, the student will be able to schedule the exam online through their myDAC. We will only approve a make-up exam request upon confirmation from the instructor. You may call or email us to let us know the acceptable dates/times in which the student may take the make-up exam.
If the make-up exam is scheduled during a time in which the student is no longer enrolled in a class, please contact us through email at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know.
Why didn’t my testing agreement cross over with my other sections?
Our system can only sync testing agreements over to other students in the exact same CRN. Courses that are cross-listed with similar courses under different CRNs will not be synced by our system. DAC staff can copy testing agreements to different CRN’s, we just ask that the professor send us the correct date and time of the final exam for each CRN, since this varies per the Registrar’s Finals Schedule each quarter.
Why am I getting so many e-mails?
Many emails that are sent to instructors are system generated through the myDAC database. These emails are intended to keep faculty informed on what accommodations the students in your class are receiving, when your students are scheduling your exams at the DAC Testing Facility, and to remind you to email or upload the exams.
How do I upload an exam?
Although exams can be dropped off to the DAC or emailed to email@example.com, we encourage instructors to upload their exams into our secure website. Just click on the link in the emailed Faculty Notification Letter you received from the DAC, and it will be the exam we’ll provide to all students enrolled in a CRN.
Does the DAC schedule students’ exams?
Students are in charge of scheduling their own exams with the DAC. It should be noted, however, that students will not be able to schedule exams until a testing agreement has been completed for their course. The testing agreement is the instructor’s responsibility to complete.
