Each academic year the Disability Access Center (DAC) administers over 11,000 exams with accommodations. For the DAC to administer exams, and students to schedule to take them, we ask all instructors to complete one alternative testing agreement per course (CRN). Each student receiving accommodations has a Faculty Notification Letter emailed to their instructors on their behalf from their DAC counselor. This email explains the accommodations they will need, and also include a secure link to complete a course testing agreement. Testing agreements can be completed in either one of two ways:
- Click on the link in the section of the Faculty Notification Letter entitled “New Alternative Testing Information.”
- If you are teaching multiple courses, it can be easier to click on the green “Faculty Portal” and login with your WWU Universal username and password.
You need only submit one testing agreement per CRN. Once an alternative testing contract has been submitted for a CRN, it will automatically be copied over to all other students requesting similar accommodations within the same CRN.
If you wish to have a course testing agreement for one CRN copied over to another CRN, or if you have any other questions or concerns regarding alternative testing, please contact David Barrows at email@example.com or reach him directly by phone (360) 650-7977.
